Volunteers of America of North and Central Louisiana is a locally-governed and locally-managed affiliate of one of the nation's oldest, largest and most diversified faith-based charities. Our national organization has more than 112 years of experience and service with a mission to "reach and uplift" the American people. Today, we touch the lives of thousands in need. We help inner-city kids in Shreveport, people with mental illness in Alexandria, and provide an Early Head Start program in Monroe while building healthier, more compassionate communities across north and central Louisiana.

Please take the time to learn about our mission. We offer innovative and quality human service programs such as The LightHouse and our adoption and crisis pregnancy counseling services. Be inspired to commit to building a stronger community by volunteering. Get involved in Volunteers of America, one of the most trusted and respected organizations, as a partner or a donor.

Our work is meant to be life changing...for those who receive our services...for those who serve with us...and for you.
